The cameraman is calling it “our position”, so their trenches were probably shelled to bits. Since this is somewhere around Avdiivka and they are outside it could have been recently taken trenches. Or it’s just during an attack/on their way since they’re outside but it’s calm (for that moment). Or the new people are backup and the dead ones have been there a bit.
