Hey everyone,

I recently finished migrating my reverse proxy to a new location. All my services are reachable again via their own subdomains (jellyfin.example.com, books.example.com, cloud.example.com, etc.).

However, I noticed my root domain (example.com) is currently sitting empty, and it feels kinda like a waste.

I’m looking for inspiration on what to host there, but I’m paranoid about security. I really don’t want to put a dashboard (like Homepage/Heimdall/Homarr) publicly on the root because it feels like exposing an index of everything I’m running.

What is everyone else hosting there?

  • A generic “Under Construction” page?
  • A simple 404 page?
  • A server status page?
  • A stealthy static resume/CV?
  • A honeypot?
  • A hard redirect to a specific service or website? I also had the idea of a page to put some of my art on or something like that.

Curious what others are doing.

Thanks in advance for any ideas!

Organizr specifically, but generally: any dashboard you like.

Edit: lol, I see you saying you don’t want that now. Organizr allows you to log in and shows only the services you have access to, so it’s not a full index unless you have access to everything. (As defined in Organizr permissions.) Worth checking out.
