    The sign just means “animal crossing”. Despite depicting a deer, it’s not trying to define a species.

    The one below however does (Wildschwein = wild boar). That’s all.

      Yes. Of course it does. But Wildschweine sehen different aus and therefore it’s lustig fellow German. ❤️

          This is a great Weg to verhohnepipel two Languages auf einmal. It’s propably the most German thing to kritisier the misunderstanding of Straßenschilder.
