techsupport@lemmy.world•How can I merge the highlighted partition with the 500 GB unallocated space at the end of the drive?
1·1 year agoAre you just taking about the 1mb? If so I’d just leave it, it’s common to leave some buffer space at the start and/or end of a block device.

102·1 year agoNo one called anyone a Trump shill for supporting progressives in down-ballot elections. If you’re just talking about the start of the presidential election cycle, that’s too late.
verdigris@lemmy.mltoPolitical Memes@lemmy.world•"No, I'm not doing nothing I'm raising awareness!"
15·1 year agoNo. Because even if they carried 100% of the vote in a state, the delegates can and most likely would just cast their votes for one of the major parties.

61·1 year agoBrother, I’m voting against the party with the absolutely insane and oppressive declared policies. What are you talking about?
verdigris@lemmy.mltoPolitical Memes@lemmy.world•"No, I'm not doing nothing I'm raising awareness!"
12·1 year agoWell in that case it’s not really relevant.

92·1 year agoThat and the fact that it’s legally impossible for one to win the presidency, yeah.

Asklemmy@lemmy.ml•Why are so many Pro-Palestine (I am pro-Palestine and anti-genocide) Americans refusing to vote for Harris due to her stance on Israel?
13·1 year agoNo you can’t. Because we live under a system where one of them is going to be in power after the election, and every possible voter shares equal responsibility in the outcome.

14·1 year agoAnswer to both: no. So maybe we should use other factors to decide!

59·1 year agoIt’s only worthless if it’s third party, sadly.
I love getting downvotes for just understanding the law.

22·1 year agoSee, doing it as a bloc with public visibility I can see. That actually has some chance of swaying at least the rhetoric. But I still think if they actually go through with not voting, they’re voting against their own interests. The right is rabidly xenophobic and loves Israel, the only thing Trump will do to end the genocide is send even more military support.

23·1 year agoI think you’re generally right that foreign policy won’t be very affected (not sure what the image has to do with it), but domestic policy certainly will be. It’s very disheartening to see all of these self-proclaimed leftists basically discarding LGBTQ people, whose rights are extremely up for debate in this election, to make a performative stance against a policy that both sides support equally.

813·1 year agoIt’s not just shunned, it’s literally throwing your vote away. Voting laws in the US, including the electoral college, mean that it is literally impossible for a third party to win the presidential election. We need ranked choice or other alternative voting methods, and the EC needs to go away.
