Non, tu peux juste utiliser le protocole samba et ton serveur apparaitra comme un disque dur mis en réseau.

Je partirai sur yunohost comme systeme pour ton serveur et apres tu pioches dans le catalogue d’app.

L’avantage de yunohost c’est qu’il t’offre un SSO sans que tu es besoin de le configurer. Donc ta femme et toi, vous aurez votre propro compte et vous pourrez vous connecter sur presque toute les apps avec vos propres identifiants.

Bell has limited but useful use case. Here are several mine :

• being notified about news videos from a peertube channel. Eg : following fireside fedifellow or this community.
• being notified about comments on a post that aren’t your own. If the topic interest you it’s neat
• following someone or a bot. For example i subcribed to @Nono@piefed.social so i can get every post and say hi.

But if you go overboard with the bell, you end up with thousand notifications. 😅

I haven’t finishing updating the piefed app wiki, but based on what you are looking for :

I would recommand at least two accounts per fediverse type (type = microblog, threadiverse…)

So you can have a backup account in case your instance is down. Because currently there is no sync of our subcriptions, follows.

I hope we will have a kind of nomadic identity
to solve this.

Nice find, i’m saving that for futur communication creation (flyers, posters…) in the fedihacks.

For me, there are things where we should not ask questions. For example, in the case of Meta : Authoritarian promotion, Meymar genocide, IVG censorship, moderation moved to Texas…

The list is long and hardly convaince people. But when i tell them, miror what happened there and there IRL, they no longer dissociate computer stuff from their real life. And i also give them what we can do, how to mitigate it because instilling fear isn’t the way. We have plenty solutions ready.

I notice that we want to hide thing from our inner circle. But for thing abstract as Meta, even myself, we would still give their phone number thus giving a way to identifiate us and put us in danger.
