Ask Lemmy@lemmy.world•How do you make a person shut Up when he says, 'Oh, I saw you talk/laugh for the first time haha' everytime you talk /laugh?
10·19 days agoI’d either go with “Ok, cool 👍” or just ignore them.
The best way to deal with morons like that is to not pay a lot of attention to their comments.
I don’t think I have any specific wishes. My family can do whatever will make them at peace.
I’m like that as well, I want to cry but just like you say there is a wall between me and my emotions. I think it’s because as a man I was shamed a lot for crying so I’ve learned not to cry. I don’t know if that is a good thing or not…

Ask Lemmy@lemmy.world•Guys, have you ever been asked this question: "If your mother and your girlfriend are both drowning, who would you save first?" How would you answer this question?
31·2 months agoI’ve never been asked this question before, but the answer is my mother.
For me, family always comes first.

Southeast Europe@feddit.bg•Thousands protest far-right surge in Croatia following incidents
2·3 months agoMore on the counter-protests/attacks:
Masked men waited for protestors in Rijeka
[…]
The [anti-fascist] protest march was held on the route from Adriatic square, via Korzo to the Monument of Liberation on Delta, and a group of people dressed in black verbally attacked the protest participants at Adriatic square and threw firecrackers.
According to witnesses, around thirty young people, mostly masked, chanted various messages and cursed. The police kept them at a distance from the participants of the rally and pushed them towards Ciotti street.
March in Zadar met with insults and paint
[…]
On the Prince Branimir Shore in Zadar, the Dalmatian march gathered citizens of Zadar, Šibenik, Split and Korčula who, in a column, accompanied by numerous members of the riot police, set off across the bridge towards the People’s Square.
While they were crossing the bridge they were attacked by two masked men with balls filled with red paint who were waiting for the column in a speedboat under the bridge. At the entrance to the city, a larger group of members of the Tornado fan group and several members of the Association of Women of the Homeland War tried to block their passage. After a jostling, they were dispersed by the riot police.

From what I’ve read, building is very unstable and they want to start as soon as possible.

No Stupid Questions@lemmy.world•Is it normal to feel intense fear when in the presense of any sort of yelling / loud arguments?
3·4 months agoLike say, some random drunk dude wanders onto your street yelling near your house for no reason.
I’m with you on this one. I get called weird often because I truly believe that someone yelling can escalate into me being murdered.
I don’t have any skills so I don’t think I could get really far back.
Croatian (native): Noticeable southern (Dalmatian) accent
English: I think it’s a mix of Slavic and American accents.

Southeast Europe@feddit.bg•Political leaders condemn hate speech after masked men interrupt Serbian cultural event in Split
2·4 months agoYesterday they were outside Serbian Cultural Center in Zagreb protesting against the opening of an exibition and today they are protesting in Split for release of people who have been arrested for the original incident.
Everyone I talked to who did service, especially after the war said that it was a huge wase of time and that they learned nothing. As for alternative service, we do have alternative service available - 3 months serving in Civil Protection or 4 months working for local government.
Indeed, I believe this is only a start and that they will later increase it to 6 months or more.
It’s not bad but I often feel akward when around my peers when they talk about relationships while I never even kissed a girl, let alone was in a relationship.
I (25M) have been single my entire life because I am very boring as a person.

I love “vukojebina”.
