2·2 days agoThank you for taking the time to type all that. I’ll have to save it somewhere more safely and five or another read when setting up keepass.
I’ve used syncthing before; testing a rudimentary one way syncing images from my phone and laptop to my main PC; and it was okay learning and understanding it.

Coffee@lemmy.world•This is a *coffee* community, not an espresso community. Here's my evil drip brew machine and morning abominationEnglish
3·3 days agoI mean, I’d consider myself a coffee snob (although I don’t have hundreds of dollars worth of gear like others, just weird beans) but I do enjoy myself instant coffee as well. And there’s plenty of local style coffee here in my south east Asian country that’s not espresso style that I enjoy as well.

4·3 days agoAeropress my beloved. But I borrowed a friend’s tricolate once for a few months and that’s pretty easy too especially 2 to 3 drinkers.

1·3 days agoSame. I tried espresso at specialty cafés a few times and it’s too intense for me. I much more prefer pour over, but my hone setup is an aeropress though.
If my non coffee weirdo friends offer me coffee usually it will be a café latte or anything I can add milk myself to hide the burnt coffee flavor 😬
Although I have to say in my country there’s plenty of non mega corp coffee chain (like Starbucks) that are using quality blends and cheaper than mega corps. And they’re local/regional companies.

1·3 days agoYeah, I feared that bitwarden might not like that with my scenario.
I’ve been putting off keepass ever since I found lastpass all those years ago and then learned about keepass. I guess I have to dedicate a weekend some time reading and setting everything up keepass between my Linux home base computer, android phone and grumble Windows work laptop.
I thought I am back in techwearclothing or something lol
10/10 would cosplay

2·4 days agoLooking at Pivotal’s website for the EMS eVTOL, it’s interesting to see how the vehicle and how smoothly it transition from take off/landing to flying. Amazing engineering.
It’s like seeing a real life Orca fighters from Tiberian Sun game or the Hornet from Halo. I mean it’s different by a lot but still cool to see how they tackle it.

1·4 days agoMy thought process is that I set up the server on my home computer as the main base, and have that occasionally sync to my other devices such as phone and laptop, and sync back to it if I do any changes in those. The remote devices should have local database because my main computer will not always be online.
How feasible is that and how easy is that to set up?
Or should I just set up keepass instead since IIRC that’s one of the ways it can be set up.

8·5 days agoOh, not Fortnite the other game. I was confused for a while why Amnesia would have a collab with fortnite. Even forgot how the word “fortnight” is spelled.
Reading the article, god forbid a game studio wanting to experiment on new concepts to them. Sone of them concepts sound good to me.

2·5 days agoDebatable, but video games of old can be considered feature complete software. Or a lot of old software from back then when they have to be sold once with little to no support.
I stand by my principles: no AI slop for masturbating
They’re mid at best. Some amalgamation of distilled stolen art style that has an uncanny sheen of fakeness in most I’ve seen. I’ve delved too deep anyways. Mid at best is not cutting it.

Ask Lemmy@lemmy.world•Does anyone else find 'pseudoanimation' annoying?English
2·6 days agoThe static animation in fighting games I think has some grounding in real martial arts. Back when I joined the taekwando club in school, a lot of the more experienced martial artists don’t sit still and at the very least do that bobbing up and down like fighting games characters do. Personally it keeps me on my toes to act and react when sparring, IIRC back.

Technology@lemmy.world•Dwarf Fortress' creator says the industry's in shambles over AI and layoff-happy CEOs: 'Everyone I know, their bosses are slowly getting psychosis'English
4·6 days agoHey, that’s me. But because I don’t want to lose my job when my boss take me along his vibe coding journeys. And in the end I still don’t understand coding.
I guess it kind of works with reading specifications documents but I’d have to babysit the AI or else I just get lost quickly at whatever training it has at sorting the information.
I really want to get out of this job. But mounting living costs that my current salary still able to keep my neck out of the water but quickly losing, my confidence in myself at rock bottom and partly I’m digging a hole for myself, this shit sucks ass and I think my brain is starting to be able to beat the medication I’m on. It feels so hopeless even when I already ignore the shit going on in the world
I stick with zen because of spaces. I have a few, e.g. common browsing, work or serious topics, finances, shopping. Each of them I assigned default containers that they will run. And each if them have different pinned tabs related to the spaces.
It’s been so long since I switched that I honestly forgot how Firefox base is. I think before I switched I used sideberry to do all that spaces thing but zen is more integrated feeling.
There’s just something that hits it for me that it’s indispensable for me.

I used to drink nescafe instant, and now that I’m not ignorant of what nestle does, I made it a mission to look for a replacement that I can get locally. Luckily I found one that I’m happy with when I can’t be bothered to grind my coffee beans, or I forgot to replace when I ran out or am saving for some special ones that I want to try
