Tp link cameras I have no problem with. I have one of their routers and the parental controls - you have to pay us monthly to use is bullshit. I don’t think it’s ever gotten an update either. It’s a solid router otherwise. That being said I will go for an openwrt router next time.
Using Bazzite for the gaming machine and Ubuntu for my laptop. Last windows machine in the house goes away as soon as I get to rebuilding the wifes laptop. Recently discovered Tails for a no traceable footprint tor. Browser bootable os for privacy.
It’s not that far off. I woke up to an Internet outage and none of my home lighting routines fired off and I couldn’t control my lights via wifi. I got it under control shifting to Bluetooth but for a second it was infuriating.
Disney is to blame for making this crap and screwing an entire legacy for A quick buck.
What are the uses for these? Is it talking to someone you know or more like CB radio where you talk to the public?

There’s no left information propaganda channel like fox news and there needs to be…where the heck is Bloomberg and his money funding a media empire? These people are controlled and “Informed” solely by TV and their peers who watch TV and fox news has been the poison for a decade.

The wife and I are planning thanksgiving this year around the marathon and the food is all themed. No turkey … Thanksgiving of the rings. I’m so ready.
Tennessee is pretty affordable too and has a lot of country to hike and camp in. It’s red so your health care is almost non existent but the rent is low.
The wife and I would love to move but that for us would mean giving up every possession and going it from scratch. It’s especially hard to think of because we were both hard times divorces 8 or so years ago and started over with literally nothing . 8 years and we’ve both built a life in an apartment and now have a hella cozy nest. I can’t afford to move any of it to another country. We both aren’t super specialists in our jobs either so that’s not helping. Its gonna have to get pretty bad before we sell it all and leave on basically foot. Sadly I can’t rule out this eventuality. Life sucks now.
