It’ll take years to get a decent chunk of Reddit users.

Hours later, the Ukrainians blew it up—with artillery.English10·1 year agoThey do have other drones to drop nets on drones but they are more expensive and then we’ll just end up with drones netting the netting drones.
LUHG@lemmy.worldto Military @lemmy.world•British Army is considering allowing beards after a 300+ year banEnglish2·1 year agoHa no not at all. Ricky is an idol of mine.
Anyway, joking aside. We have quite a healthy population of beards over here. Maybe the famous Brits you see just don’t have beards.
Think Tom hardy beard style. It’s been very popular for years and years now.

LUHG@lemmy.worldto Climate - truthful information about climate, related activism and politics.@slrpnk.net•Earth Was Due for Another Year of Record Warmth. But This Warm? Scientists are already busy trying to understand whether 2023’s off-the-charts heat is a sign that global warming is accelerating.21·1 year agoHow many people in your circle of life would know what “Feedback Loop” meant in climate change?
Probably a very low percentage. People think it’s linear and won’t effect them. Sad years ahead mate.
LUHG@lemmy.worldto World News@lemmy.world•Swiss cocaine so cheap and widely used they’re considering legalising itEnglish16·1 year agoFor me If it’s not high quality it’s the most depressing drug the day after. It’s not worth the 30 minute high.
LUHG@lemmy.worldto Technology@lemmy.world•Single-use e-cigarettes contain batteries that last hundreds of cycles despite being discardedEnglish48·1 year agoThat’s absolutely flat out wrong and honestly concerning.
For a start nicotine addiction (vaping) has not been proven to have any long term health strain on the medical system. To say having a gambling problem is better is just crazy.
You realise the difference between nicotine addiction and gambling addiction right?

LUHG@lemmy.worldto Technology@lemmy.world•HP raising Instant Ink subscription pricing significantlyEnglish1·1 year agoNothing really. I just can’t make that when traveling. Unfortunately when out and about in the UK you either have Costa, Starbucks or Nero around the same price or McDonald’s and Greggs which is cheaper. It’s very hard to find any local coffee shops.
LUHG@lemmy.worldto Hacker News@derp.foo•Spotify's Push into Audiobooks Sparks Concern Among AuthorsEnglish3·1 year agoSo only Amazon can charge ridiculous fees then?
Spotify player is garbage compared to a real podcast player but I’d rather that than Amazon’s prices on top of Spotify.

Whoever in the UK thought it would be a good idea to do the income tax payment over Xmas and January needs a slap in the face.
LUHG@lemmy.worldto Technology@lemmy.world•HP raising Instant Ink subscription pricing significantlyEnglish15·1 year agoSatisfying isn’t the word. We have to generally use HP for SAP purposes so unfortunately I have to buy HP for work. Guess what? Every fucking month a few clients need printer support. Just HP bullshit time and time again…
I have brothers, kyoceras and others that just work and work without any issues. But HPs are just nagging offline fucking pains in the ass.
