You might have the big giant book that was the whole city/county, and then have a smaller set for just your suburb. A small local business might spring for an decent ad in the local Yellow Pages, and just put a simple listing on the big one.

I should note that my mother lives in a gated, active adult community, and there is literally ZERO crime in her neighborhood. If someone started going through someone else’s trash, you’d have a half a dozen busybodies demanding to know what you’re up to.

Oh, yeah, Trump is going to be the most studied president for the next 100 years, and NONE of it is going to be positive. A few MAGAs will write some books, but their MAGAs so they are either stupid or evil, and most of them can’t write anyway, so they’re books will be awful, and will get savaged by every other historian for the next century.

The trick is to encourage him to spend his time with his friends doing whatever they do. If he’s getting laid, visiting strippers, etc. that’s great, at least he’s not bothering you. He’s going to get tired of banging you anyway. Then when the pre-nup vests, you take the money and run.

My city was big enough that we had to have two separate books, nyah, nyah.

My mom saves up all her junk mail, and takes it to a neighborhood shredding event 2 or 3 times a year. She gets distressed if she misses it. She doesn’t understand why I just toss it all away.

I’ve asked her why she thinks her junk mail address is so valuable, and she’s afraid they will fall into the wrong hands. I’ve explained to her that if it’s on junk mail, it’s already out there being sold. It’s just her name and address, it’s a public record.

I get why she’d want to shred stuff with her SS# on it, but another AARP solicitation?

It’s not that they are rich, we’ve always had rich people. The problem is that we now have rich people with enough wealth to compete with nations, and they are getting even stronger. They are now starting to cut their own deals with nations that benefit them personally, with no regard to the nations, and millions of people that could be harmed by that policy. We’ve already seen Musk manipulate Starlink to steer a war in his direction, and unleash his hacking squad to rig an American election, just so he could use the opportunity to cripple all the government agencies that were investigating his crimes.

And it will only get worse. They are approaching Trillionaire status, and will be even more powerful. How long before multiple trillionaires form an alliance, and build their own personal military?

Eventually we will reach a point where it will become impossible to reign them in, and then we will all wonder why someone didn’t do something about them when it was still possible, like NOW.

Have you NOT been paying attention? They are already doing it. Sure, they are getting pushback on some of their prosecutors, but the next objective is to replace the judges, too, who won’t push back, and will enthusiastically assist MAGA prosecutors into exploiting the system to punish political enemies.

Were only in the early steps. Just like AI, they will learn from their mistakes, and get “better.”
