Tragically, I suspect headlines like this will soon be the new norm. The political crises spawned by the climate crisis are going to be a bad time.

We’ve seen it in many places. Not only does climate change create refugees and increase immigration pressure, but hostility to immigrants serves as a great distraction tactic and provides scapegoats for cowardly politicians who have no intention of dealing with climate change. It’s very disappointing to see how humanity, faced with a global existential threat, doesn’t pull together like in the movies but prefers to descend into fascism and attacking the vulnerable while ignoring the real issues.

I agree with every word. My disgust for the way we’ve decided to run the world is overshadowed only by my sadness.

Its sadly an ancient story, migration from one place, war and strife in another. Some hope we do better, but clearly many who have no desire to do anthing but harm others.

It could be worse, governments/media could say the extreme climate is just “divine punishment” for allowing gay marriage and other abominations like the Plagues of Egypt! We’re still lucky, at least in Italy…😅😅😅
