Aside from the fact it was a zoom meeting of almost 100 people mostly over 60, it was alright.
I should edit my title: What sort of personal demons drive a person to participate in party politics?
My mood after hearing a bunch of geriatric minds (im 53 ffs, these people are OLD) suggest that maybe we should use social media to bring in more youths.
Listen up kids, we’re going to do a rap about how cool it is to reach across the aisle and appease racists. Oh and don’t forget to respect your elders.
Yikes, zoom?
I only caucus’ed once to see what it was like. It was rough with the “olds” in person. I can’t imagine zoom.
“Mabel, you are on mute!”
It was tolerable but the people active in party mechanics are a bit out of touch in the way of the privileged. They make new people jump through quite a lot of hoops to get involved.
Bless their pointy little heads, I guess.
