The Rotring 600 is probably my favorite pen out of all my other nice pens. It has a nice weight and feel, swap the refill for a schmidt easyflow 9000 M and it writes like a dream. My friend uses an sxr 600 for a fine tip and he likes his. I would recommend it if you were to treat yourself. I think the pens are under warranty for two years or so and evidently the support is amazing.
I ended up getting the red one delivered to me after all the praise it’s gotten (as well as an easyflow 9000M) and, I have to say after using it for a few days, I’m obsessed with this thing. It writes beautifully and is a great size.
The one downside (as it relates to the ink cartridge) is that when I’m using a thin ruler to make a sharp line in my notebook, it tends to make ink build up on the tip, causing a little blob of ink the next time I write, so I’ve gotten in the habit of rolling the tip on a post it note whenever I’m done making lines.
I might also put some keyboard lubricant on the spring mechanism in the pen so it sounds less scratchy when clicking it. But other than that, amazing suggestion! I now have a new favorite nice pen to use daily.
