Youtube comments are a cut below everything else on the internet, even places like twitter aren’t quite as bad. I wonder if it has to do with it being both more “boomer friendly” like facebook, in the sense that even the most technologically illiterate can still comment, while also not really having a robust moderation team. And the worst punishment for someone on youtube is just getting a comment removed, so there is no real “risk” to posting fascist apologia. If they were to say, prevent people from watching videos if they posted hateful comments, even temporarily, the number of hateful comments would plummet.

idk I think twitter is so much worse than yt rn. The fascists are quite literally paying to be boosted, and are under every single viral tweet, it’s so horrible

Yeah, I’d say so. Fascists on reddit at least bother to stay on topic. These comment could be under literally any video on the site.

One time I found an actual quora-rate wehraboo under a video of a soviet song. As in, alternative reality kind. Nazis were noble and didnt target civilians and soviets raped their way to Berlin. As a cherry on top the nazirino said something along the lines of “glory to the roman empire” or some other sacred nazi state in the end of his raving against a lib half-heartedly arguing against him. The fact that this creature wasnt clowned into oblivion is disheartening.
