The fact that the company did this and the government didn’t do anything about it gives me nazi vibes.

Add this to IDF and you get the big picture.

Also, Hitler wasn’t a bad guy overnight btw.

It’s fake in that this isn’t actually happening or approved by the state.

Yet. It isn’t happening yet. Them settlers will pay a premium for that beachfront. (Also, I’m reminded of that IDF instagram … uh… person… who posted something about “I need to come back in a bikini”

Source? Because the company who posted this didn’t deny and basically doubled back after saying it’s a “joke”

it’s possible to be against genocide while also being against terrorists. it’s possible for smart people, anyway.

how do we know it’s real tho? who is the company running this ad and where is it running?

The ad is from the Israeli real estate company Harey Zahav. They posted this on their Instagram account. After criticism and backlash they claimed it was posted as a joke.

The Norwegian journalist collaborative fact checking service Faktisk.no has done a deep dive on this ad with a lot of detail if you want to check it out. You can read it using google translate (or similar tools) you are interested.

      https://www.faktisk.no/artikler/jdplr/kraftige-reaksjoner-etter-spok-om-boligprosjekt-i-gaza

Some interesting facts from the article: the ad text says they are working to prepare for a return to Gush Katif, an earlier Israeli settlement in Gaza. The company is responsible for the development of settlements on the West Bank. The owner of the company lives in Moscow and seems to be an oligarch.

So based on the info in the linked in the article the ad is very real. And while the company behind it claims it was all a joke, that does seem a lot like damage control.

That’s gotta be bad advertising, surely? Like, even someone who hates the people who currently live there and so doesn’t feel horrible about contributing to forcing them out, is still not going to want to go build in the ruins of a warzone I’d imagine?

the use of the word ‘dream’ makes this seem ambiguous. i still cant really tell if this is pro or anti-settler?

i feel like it could either be interpreted as saying “a beach house is not positive” or as “a beach house could be a reality”

i hope its the first, it would be really sick otherwise

In this thread there are multiple translations of the smaller text underneath, and it’s definitively “once we genocide them we’ll have space for new beach houses”

Anyone with an Israeli passport should be deeply ashamed, and they should burn it.

If you ever meet an Israeli, the only thing to do is turn your back on them and walk away.

If we’re burning passports and refusing to talk to anyone whose country has committed brutal genocide it’s going to be very lonely and smokey in every country.

I see this bullshit spread around a lot trying to defend something evil their country does. Can you actually source some evidence? or this is just a strawman people think that makes themselves look smart?

You often hear people say that all countries are brutal genocidal death machines when they are trying to defend their country? Being a brutal genocidal death machine is not a defense, it’s a damning indictment of how flawed a country is.

I’m not clear on what you wanted a source for. That countries are murderous?

Being murderous and full on genocidal are two different things.

            This you?

If we’re burning passports and refusing to talk to anyone whose country has committed brutal genocide it’s going to be very lonely and smokey in every country

Regurgitating shit about things you have no clue, or sources to back it up, just because you feel like it, because shitheads use it to deflect their own country’s genocide isn’t the flex you think it is.

Being murderous and full on genocidal are two different things.

Yep! But committing genocide almost always requires murder so it’s appropriate to use either term when describing countries.

no clue, or sources to back it up

I’m still not sure what you want a source for? That countries commit genocide? I mean the news and also every history book is the source for that. I was born in Australia, we genocided countless indigenous nations. I live in the US, ditto. North and south of me are Canada and Mexico. Ditto. Destroying other peoples has been one of the main reasons to have a state. We have so many monuments from early states glorifying their genocides.

Regurgitating shit… just because you feel like it …isn’t the flex

I’m still not clear what you think it is I’m saying.

To be clear, my point was that as brutal and horrific as Israel’s actions are, it doesn’t make sense to shun every individual citizen of that country.

Yeah that works for me but it feels like a shift in position from shun residents of this one country to abolish all countries.

I’m in favor of the latter which for me makes the former seem pointless and arbitrary.

The thing is that both sides are not innocent. As it turns out Hamas is a terrorist organization that uses human shields and kill Civilians. That doesn’t justify Israel blowing up a hospital full of people but its important to note that basically everyone involved has blood on there hands.

This is a situation that shouldn’t be happening.
