Nice to meet you! I am DJ of many Genres, I prefer EDM/Nu-Disco. I play for Anime Convention After parties in Connecticut, and do weekend Latin Dances.
Trance/House bedroom DJ here. I was never apart of any of the communities over on reddit because I’ve found if you really love something, don’t join any fan sites for it. People usually get annoyingly negative about something they supposedly love.
But, if a new community that was DJ based popped up on Lemmy, I’m pretty sure I’d join it.

Right?!? I could not do it, I feel like AI can MC on a mic and talk to a crowd no problem, but not run a channel lmao. I do hope to see one one of these days
I am as hobbyist as DJing can get, played at private college parties, weddings and birthdays of friends and the like. I mostly do a mix of mainstream dance and pop music from the 90s to current chart stuff and while this has always just been a hobby, i am already doing it for more than 10 years.
