Speaking of risc-v, reading the mailing list, there is some work on porting the Hurd to risc-v. It is a bit too early to say much about it though

Porting Hurd to RISC-V??? Why? Last I knew they hadn’t added amd64 or UEFI support, adding a whole other ISA seems a little over ambitious for that project if you ask me
