        To be fayre, its a ton of fucking work and he already won the game.

        Theres just not enough incentive for him to spend his limited time (in general and also left) when the HBO show FAIAP already finished it for him.

        Cant say I blame him, even dragons need rest

        That’s what happens when you give the TV producers an outline for the future major story points so they can continue without the books being completed, and they get blamed for ruining the show and the ideas being dumb when they then use those major points exactly.

        Everyone blames DD, I think many of the big issues people have with the end of the show were lifted straight from that outline. We saw the difference in the show quality when they went beyond the releases books. They almost certainly just made what they could to fill in gaps between the outline points they were provided.

          I’ve also had this opinion for a long time and I really believe poor old dude is just hopelessly trying to find other ways out.

          There was a very compelling video making the argument that the ending was actually well set up with the characters as written in the books and that’s what made me think it must have been his original intent for the ending over all.

          I think that the TV series essentially just did what the books haven’t had to do yet: Resolve 5 books of build up in two books.

          And did it when, as far as I recall, the two producers or whatever were ready to move on and much less engaged.
