ICE sent $57.1M in new orders to 14 private tracking firms, nearly tripling payouts. Some also monitor migrant kids and chase deportee fines.

New contracting records show a $57.1 million jump in payments to the 14 private firms ICE pays to locate immigrants, with some of the same companies also monitoring migrant children and chasing fines from people already deported.
