All the Niner “fans” in these comments saying Purdy gets talked about too much lol

I guess when your playing at an elite level you don’t deserve the same amount of discussion as the established guys.

The boy is looking like Joe Cool with Steve Young’s scrambling ability. I base this opinion of having watched every Niner game since the 60’s.

I mean I’m a Rams fan who isn’t happy that Shanahan found his QB, but does this really need to be asked anymore?!

    He’s a very good QB

I can’t believe this is still a discussion (clickbait or not). He proved his worth last year by going undefeated until the NFCCG, and they’re 7-3 this year.

The pendulum has now swung back into “Purdy Elite” territory I see. A far cry from 2-3 weeks ago where we were in the “Game Manager” area

Did it against a below .500 team, not impressed. Just keeping the same energy that some QBs on other teams receive.

There are layers to this question.

Layer 1. Should Purdy be the starter of the 49ers? This was known at the end of last year, but was argued throughout the off-season. This conversation is officially closed.

Layer 2. Is Purdy actually good, or is he just a product of the system? Does he add to a teams chance of winning or is he just along for the ride? This question is still being asked because some view-trolls like Nick Wright are purposely trying to piss people off. If you’ve paid attention, the answer is clear. To echo others, this question bores me.

Layer 3. Is Brock Purdy elite? Does he belong in the same conversation as Allen, Hurts, Herbert, Jackson? Is he good enough to justify breaking the bank for despite what it will do to the rest of the roster? This is where the conversation should be. Feel free to claim that it is “too early” to know, even though it’s not.

Layer 4. Is Purdy in the Mahomes tier? No. Mahomes is 1 of 1.
