For a few years in the beginning of the 2010s, it felt like a game that every single gamer person I knew online and offline played. I met a lot of people and became friends with people on the other side of the country as well as coworkers. Somewhere in the middle of that decade, maybe earlier, Riot really lost the magic and it just felt less like a fun game and more of an aggravating e-sport.
I always liked Phreak’s broadcasting personality, though it has been years since I followed LoL. I hope he’s doing well.
I played a bit early on and I used to enjoy popping into a game every once in a while, but it started to feel like I had to relearn the entire game every time, so I eventually stopped. I know the updates are aimed at people who play regularly, but they make it really hard for returning players.
Same here. The game needs such a big time investment and there just isn’t time for that anymore these days. They did do a pretty good job with the item and skill order recommendations, so at least ARAM is still kind of accessible.
“Beloved” and “League of Legends” in the same sentence???
This sucks, of course.
I don’t pay attention to it but I was told it’s because he never abandons a stance even when presented with evidence that disproves it
This is why there should be strict age limits for games.
Bro got a taste of the League community…
Man you just need to stand above such shit and troll back.
He’s been dealing with them for years. Probably just finally got worn down enough to say “fuck it, not worth the stress”
