It’s Official: With “Vermin,” Trump Is Now Using Straight-up Nazi Talk He’s telling us what he will do to his political enemies if he’s president again. Is anyone listening?

I feel pretty safe in saying that we can now stop giving him the benefit of that particular doubt. His use—twice; once on social media, and then repeated in a speech—of the word “vermin” to describe his political enemies cannot be an accident. That’s an unusual word choice. It’s not a smear that one just grabs out of the air. And it appears in history chiefly in one context, and one context only.

Yes, some of us are listening and have been since 2015, and recognize that Trump is using a lot of tactics out of the fascist playbook.

Our culture’s art and entertainment boasts many examples of cautionary tales about authoritarianism and fascism. Yet somehow too few actually recognized it in 2015.

Now, years after his presidency, are there really some people left that still don’t see it? I hope enough know what is at stake, but I guess we shall see.

I think trump will more than outdo himself a second time around.

There are some people who would refuse to concede Trump’s ideology is similar to Nazism even if he ordered busloads of people to be sent to the gas chambers because the Nazis used trains, not buses.

We need to learn to stop fucking trying to convince people of the obvious and to start removing those fascist assholes from office.

If we bused a shitload of Team Blue folks to the counties where they’re duly elected, pay for them to live for at least a year and then vote the assholes out en masse, that’d be a legal way to do it.

      Absolutely yes. There’s always someone.

In a sort of satirical way - some people are part of that day’s lucky ten thousand.
