This is one of my biggest sources of frustration when listening to opinions on the issue - people conflating criticism/praise of a government with criticism/praise of a religion.

US media is just following Israel’s lead.

Israel is the one who’s actively attempts to conflate the 2, because it serves to insulate their actions from harsh criticism.

And of course conservatives love to see an ethnostate oppressing brown Muslims. That’s the average Fox News viewer’s wet dream.
