Yup. Putin couldn’t have planned it better himself.

Unless… no, it couldn’t be… but that would mean… oh shit.

There’s no plan. Trump rules by whim. He’s manipulable though, so maybe Tulsi got his ear.

        maybe Tulsi got his ear

I imagine her wiggling her thumb between her forst two clenched fingers saying “Got your ear!” and Trump screaming for her to give it back.

Plenty of people have said no to him. He’s just usually in a position where he doesn’t have to abide by it.

    That title is terrible

Does it mean that he got rejected by NATO and allies to join mission, or did he get rejected by NATO, but allies will join him anyways?

I’m guessing the former, but the title makes it sound like the latter.

It is, but to save others the work of figuring it out:

President Donald Trump says his pitch to NATO and other allies to help secure the Strait of Hormuz has been broadly rejected.

So it’s the former. He’s throwing a fit that others don’t support the war he already declared won, complaining that “they will do nothing for us, in particular, in a time of need.”

Neither: it’s what he says: that he was rejected by NATO and most allies. Which means nothing since he’s a liar and a fool. And, of course, in the same speech, he said (as he has said loudly before) that he doesn’t need any allies, but also that he asked them for help and was told no.

Consistency is not a strong point with fascists.

What I dont get is on one hand: americans are

    • smartest
    • richest
    • biggest military
    • most belligerent
    • most paedofilic
    • most selfish country on the planet

yet on the other hand they complain

    • why dont you like us
    • why dont you know where Idaho is
    • why cant i pay with mercan dollars
    • why cant i bring my planet killing pickup to your medieval village
    • why wont you fight my wars for me
    • give israel enough money that their citizens get free healthcare, education and subsidised housing while americans get none of it

Hey, I never travel without my pickup truck.

Although, I’m guessing that if there is a planet killing pickup there, then it was brought in by the host country or town.

Let’s see… If Putin had his way, what would the current US president be doing? Oh yeah, exactly this: manufacturing dissent between NATO members, the only thing keeping his warmongering appetite in check.

Even aside from logical reasons, Trump is so pathetic. I cannot wait for the day we no longer have to listen to this whiny bitch…

Sorry guys, Ima gonna have to cite some MAGA scripture on this one:

    https://www.thedailypoliticususa.com/p/jd-vance-blames-europeans-for-not

“JD Vance sides with France over Bush on the Iraq War: ‘If the Europeans had been a little more independent, and a little more willing to stand up, then maybe we could have saved the entire world from the strategic disaster that was the American-led invasion of Iraq,’”

So those who do help, you shit on and threaten, like Denmark and the UK. Those who don’t, you freedom-fry them…then you keep hearing the pearls of wisdom above…looks like the only way to get some respect from trump and his toadies is to be a dictatorship and help russia/Iran. (And those who do offer actual help, like Ukraine, you reject)

It’d so cute when the conservatives pretend that they are for peace and not really for wars of choice and so on. It’s weird how many liberals were told by conservatives that “freedom isn’t free” and “you need to support the troops” in the run-up and the early days of the Iraq debacle.

Vance is part of the weird anti-war subset of MAGA. It’s why he’s been conspicuously quiet on the Iran thing.

Vance is part of the avoiding-adverse-public-opinion-for-the-idiotic-war subset of MAGA. It’s not like he’s anti-imperialist or gives a shit about the lives of foreigners.
