They are shelling out millions in the process of preparing for the new stadium and will likely have to spend hundreds of millions more. I do not put I past them to tell him to field a team far below the cap to increase profits. That’s is the only logical explanation for him to continue to let homegrown talent walk instead of giving extension, unless he is a complete incompetent fool which is also possible.

They handed out the largest defense contract in nfl history at the time for Mack. Jerry reinsdorf is cheap, and the mcckaskeys have nothing to do with the on the field product anymore.

Cutty, mack, Julius peppers all signed market setting rates. The Mcaskeys are willing to pay.

    Poles is not.

Also people act like the Bears don’t spend lol we do spend it’s just not always wisely allocated or pans out. Being cheap in the NFL like in other leagues isn’t the same, teams spend the money it’s just a hard cap genuinely means you are less reckless with it because their is no luxury tax/etc.

Everything is a conspiracy against poor Ryan Poles. It isn’t possible that he is just a meathead moron who has had his lineman brains pounded into soggy oatmeal.

This franchise is poverty. Coaching is abysmal. Poles is an over analyzing penny pincher. George McCaskey is a geriatric nepo.

The on field salary cap and players salaries has very little to do with the business side of things.
