Lack of empathy is generally at the root of what we complain about with the MAGA crowd. They let anger and frustration (however misplaced) override their basic humanity. We should hold on to ours, not just for the sake of others, but for ourselves. That path never leads to happiness.

A man gets kidnapped and detained by ICE agents and uses his privilege as a white US citizen that actually gets released to speak out about injustices to humanity, and the only thing you can respond with is sarcasm about his status as a veteran of shitty wars.
