I have a bad habit I’ll admit that I can’t let grossly negligent and misinformed comments go without a rebuttal of some sort. I’ve learned with anyone on the right to just fart in their general direction. This naive belief I can help some people who are wading into the leftism pool further into it.
That’s why I don’t get the last word. I wait for them to end with a really bad last word that might gnaw at them. People change their minds gradually over a long time, and then give themselves credit for figuring it out.
Exactly. You can’t change people’s minds, you can only inspire.
It’s why I don’t quit. I’ve been in an argument with the same person since 2008.
“Please don’t say you got married.”

Oh no. I’m just an angry gamer on the Internet with no social life.
no they don’t
Yes they would.
no they would not!!! >:c
Yes They would.
let me tell u, i’ve never felt even slightly convinced when the other side gave up!! i am not even conviced the tiniest bit rn and i can feel you are about to give up!
Your time is up anyway and I longer am allowed to argue with you.
you are wrong about this
dont give those people hope…
My arguments online are for the benefit of others readers and also myself, rarely is my goal to change the person I’m replying to’s mind. It is good to test ones opinions and logic.
Lets also not forget about the people who are uncertain or people who arent unreasonably attaches to their views that really might change their minds.
Yup. When I argue with someone online, I know I’m not going to change their mind. But I know there are dozens, hundreds, or even thousands of lurkers who are scrolling through, who might have no strong opinion on the subject. If they see a bad point unchallenged, they might be persuaded by it. Challenging that point is for the benefit of the lurkers, not the poster.
*90% of people who argue on the internet won’t listen to logic because their beliefs were formed by trauma from an abusive childhood and they subconsciously believe they are still living in that traumatic experience. FTFY
I’ll be honest, if you’re arguing yourself I’ll gladly engage with your arguments but yeah, you’re just not convincing me.
I find when you stop arguing to change others opinions and start arguing because its fun you liberate yourself. I feel no need to make a reactionary, a shitlib, or a bootlicker change their views when pointing out the absurdity of their arguments can easily convince people silently watching.
“shitlib”
I see You socialistmaxxing! Don’t let them mog you with that 67 capitalism blud! No cap! Rizzler Marx only spits straight fire!
What the fuck are you talking about?
For a sec I read “booblicker” instead of bootlicker and was trying to think why anyone would need to change from that.

Ok girlkisser :3
The problem was integrating the Nazis into classified programs. None of them, not a single one, even Einstein, should have had security clearance. You literally invited the opposition to infiltrate your ranks.
Not to say that Einstein wasn’t a boon to the US, but an alarming amount of ‘former’ Nazis got a free psss, and shit, look at
AmericaThird Reich today!?I don’t think that Einstein was a Nazi, from the information I have seen. I think that seeing every German as “the opposition” is itself a pretty fascist position to take.
The true opposition is not people of different nationalities, it is people of a different class. That is, the “owners” who exploit the working class by claiming ownership of the fruits of their labor.
Sorry, maybe I misspoke/misinterpreted my point. As I was taught in grade 9-10, about 20y ago, (being American myself), post WW2 US was snatching up nazi scientists like pedophiles on a playground, instead of having proper screening.
As I understand it, the screening was minimal and vulnerable, and by that measure, it’s no surprise the US became the modern Nazi-Germany.
It’s true that there were a bunch of Nazi scientists that were welcomed into the US. I don’t think that that’s really to blame for the US’s fascist tendencies, though. The US has always had fascist tendencies. If anything the US welcoming Nazi scientists is a reflection of the way that the US already was, rather than something that corrupted the US.
