People don’t lose data from being hacked. The FBI has backups of backups. Even I can’t “lose a file” if I tried because everything I do has very basic consumer level backups. If they “lost” something, it was destroyed internally… and even still there’s probably a copy.
That’s why it is important to make everyone you know expect it. If enough people don’t get fooled, then this won’t work.

The United States government knew about Pearl Harbor, and they let it happen to get Into World War II. This led to Japanese internment camps inside the United States, which I would argue Is internal oppression. There is good evidence, that you can go find yourself, that The United States let 9/11 happen. This led to the patriot act, and an entire war.
Martial law is not part of the insurrection act. That is a different thing, with similar talking points.
Declaring martial law or using anything in the insurrection act to take over the local governments would not be marketed as oppression. And if no one says oppression, then it can’t be oppression (According to the government).
I think that if Donald Trump is willing to bypass Congress to go to war, he’s willing to break any rule in the book. The rules no longer apply and the only reason he hasn’t tried to take over local governments is because no one is standing up to him yet. He gets away with everything. Among the first things I saw on local news this morning was the story about the released files. It sat right above the post about the US preparing for a “surge” in Iran and I can’t help but think that some editor knew what they were doing.
Yes the fuck it has, and really it was the inevitable result. This is not just a spontaneous development, this is the result of decades of moral and financial corruption. We would like to absolve ourselves of complicity but the reality is that each American, in their own small way, has contributed to the systemic corruption we all suffer from. It’s a difficult thing. Many of us, most of us suffer disproportionately to the aristocracy, yet we carry on, and we let them continue with their schemes. We could easily topple them, wrestle the levers of power from their wretched, traitorous hands, but we don’t.
It’s that kind of defeatist attitude that’s part of the problem
