It really is a cozy 10/10 game.

Great recommendation! I’ve been playing this a lot recently and it feels like the perfect kind of game for the Deck since it’s so easy to pick up and play in short sessions. It’s also got so much to offer that the gameplay doesn’t get repetitive quickly. A tip is that there are community layouts for the Steam Deck where some of the more annoying button mashing is mapped to macros on the back grips. Definitely a nice feature for sanity and button longevity reasons!

Thanks I will definitely check those layouts out. Edit: tried it and works like a charm!

Getting my Steam Deck in a few days and this has been top of my wishlist since I first saw it! Looks very neat and fun. Thanks for bringing it up here.

What was the reason? I watched the game’s promo video and it looks fun, but like … just also a lot? Like its trying to cram a whole bunch of things into one, and I was almost stressed just watching the video seeing all the things to manage.

There’s a little of that for sure. I wonder if focusing the game down to its component parts might have made for a more satisfying experience, at least for me.

It’s not a bad game at all, I just decided I’d rather spend my limited game time elsewhere.

You have not pushed it enougth… i had the same feeling but the Game start to really catch up at the end of chapter 2/begining of the chapter 3.

It’s a nice game with some pop culture reference and a good humour. Good to play with your brain shut off.

It develops pretty gradually and is a much bigger game than it seems from the cover but it also gradually adds things to automate a lot of the things that you have to do manually and just keeps growing. I’m just over 35 hours in and about 75% complete (I think). Even though there’s a lot to do in a day there’s no real time pressure because time doesn’t really pass except when you do start a dive or open the restaurant. You always get two dives in the day (and an optional one at night) and then open the restaurant.

I’ve been really hooked (ha ha) on this game lately. I don’t play it a ton, maybe 1-2 in game days at a time, and then move on to my other games. The time management style of game can really stress me out, but the way this is split out between “go fishing for your sushi bar, do diving quests” and then “go serve the fish you caught that night” ends up breaking up the time management stress and makes it a lot more fun to me. I finally got to hire staff for my sushi bar, so hopefully that will make it less crazy over time.

This has been my go to since it launched recently, I play a day or so before work in the mornings, and it’s been some cozy fun. Even the underwater air management isn’t too bad, it’s easy to find O2 canisters to extend your bottom time, so it takes the stress out of it. Except for that first damn shark - he took me awhile to kill. :)

This game is awesome. Can’t stop playing. The cut scenes are all so extra and hilarious. It starts fun but pretty tame, and every time you’re about to settle into a groove and maybe this is what the game is really about, it changes or adds something new and weird.
