The remedy that worked best seemed to be a solution of 50% liquid antacid and 50% water.

• use distilled water
• for the liquid antacid
  • use one with a alcohol of 0.20%
  • no mint or citris flavors
  • Something like this should work
• If keeping as a backup in a kit
  • add water preserver
  • store in opaque hdpe containers
