A former detention officer has pleaded guilty in federal court to sexually abusing a detainee at the South Louisiana ICE Processing Center in Basile.

David Courvelle, 56, entered the guilty plea before U.S. District Judge Robert Summerhays as part of a plea agreement with prosecutors. The charge carries a maximum sentence of up to 15 years in prison.

    Under such authority there is nothing personal or romantic. It is abuse of power.

    So he was buying her gifts and putting money on her books and calling her on the phone? Prison guards fucking prisoners is like the worst crime, IMO
