Joplin is nice. I used it for years before switching to Obsidian. Still like it because of RTF support, but Nextcloud sync is so slow with it compared to Obsidian.

Unless I’m missing something with Joplin, simple lists don’t seem possible. I just want somewhere I can put my grocery list with check marks that get crossed out as I go.

Any suggestions for a simple note/list app on Android? Don’t need cloud sync. Just ability to take notes/lists and maybe color/organize them.

You can make lists in joplin by using [] for check boxes. But yeah, it doesn’t have a built in list editor yet.

EDIT: nvm, it totally does have a button that makes checkbox lists.

When I click on “New to-do” it only lets me create one. I have to back to the main menu to create another. Not super convenient

You can create a new to do list within a note. It’s the checklist button in the editor.

You can’t really track these tasks as individual items with their own due date, so idk. I don’t really use to-do’s that extensively, so these two features work for me.
