Fascists despised the small truths of daily existence, loved slogans that resonated like a new religion, and preferred creative myths to history or journalism. They used new media, which at the time was radio, to create a drumbeat of propaganda that aroused feelings before people had time to ascertain facts.

And now, as then, many people confused faith in a hugely flawed leader with the truth about the world we all share.

Post-tuth is pre-fascism.

      It’s not AI.

The artist, Nora Krug, was trying to make the hands resemble a rhinoceros.

Really the book should be viewed in it’s entirety, but I thought this was poignant

This is far too stylized for ai. Don’t accuse without cause (an additional, proportional finger, isn’t cause. People can make mistakes)

It may have also been intentional the section was talking about truth and post-truth after all.

The style of twisted fingers seems pretty consistent with AI generated images. The original picture didn’t include the image of the rhinoceros, so asking what the twisted hand was all about is a reasonable way of engaging with OP.
