Hyundai has decided to issue an "optional" £49 upgrade to Ioniq 5 customers to prevent the car from being stolen through a hacking device.

    Dang. I really thought the Ioniq had something going for it. Sad to see it’s just another on the list of enshittified cars.

      Well 49£ and you have a hardware physical change so not to justify but maybe to cover the labor part?

        Should have been a recall or similar if it’s on the manufacturer. They need to eat the cost of their mistakes.
