The founder of the studio has commented that they continue to work hard to optimize the game so that the local cooperative mode performs acceptably on Xbox Series S.

MS should have allowed them an exception to leave the split screen coop mode out of the Series S version (how many people will even use that feature?)

Even if they manage to get it working, this game will now come out later on Xbox, even though it’s not a timed exclusive. So in effect MS is just handing Sony a free timed exclusive for no good reason, because they stubbornly insist on complete feature parity between XSX and XSS.

As we get further and further into this console generation, this is going to happen more and more due to the XSS’s lower horsepower. Microsoft needs to reevaluate their policy for feature parity.

All of my friends are finally starting to see the light in switching from console to PC. That doesn’t go without saying console has it’s benefits. The first and top being most games are at least optimized to run at a playable state on console. My buddy just bought his first PC and he is loving it.

The console devs Sony and Xbox alike just didn’t do it for me any more. I said, “it’s time.” I have a PS4 sitting under my TV stand and while I understand Sony is doing better with the PS5 than the Xbox the truth is that in a year their exclusives also came to PC or now are. Uncharted, The Last of Us, God of War, Horizon, Spider Man, etc. All on PC now. Hell the only one left is Demon Souls if you count that anyways.

Kind of irrelevant to your statement but the point is I agree. MS wants to buy up studio after studio but they pull choices like this and it’s clear it is the biggest issue they have.
