        It has a bigass open world without structured progression and has dozens of hours of content in a single playthrough with no definitive end point.

        It’s definitely a roguelike at its base level but any run has the potential to evolve into a grand campaign.

          Idk about that. The progression is very simple: get to the bottom of the world and kill the boss, but you can also wander around if you want. There are many ways you can end the game, and you’re encouraged to find them all. And you’re also meant to play through it multiple times to unlock the achievements on the pillars.

          I’d describe it as a classic roguelike game that takes place inside a classic sandbox game.

      It’s honestly amazing how much stuff they put in it that the vast majority of players will just never see. Going by steam achievements, most players don’t make it even halfway through the main path, and the main path is less than half of the game’s biomes

        I’m one of those 😭

        Aiming with sticks is just much harder than aiming with the mouse. I love it on the deck, but man, it’s unforgiving.

      Get yourself some mods! There’s one that lets you customize your starting perks. Get Edit Wands Everywhere and Saving Grace.
