So WOW has just released a new expansion charging circa £40 extra for ‘early access’, being a 3 day head start from last Friday. This left standard purchasers to begin gameplay on the Monday. Blizzard then decided on a genius idea to implement an xp nerf to further slow these players down.

RuneScape has just decided to increase subscription fees around 30% having last increased them around 2 years ago. Their reasoning, despite record breaking profits was ‘inflation’.

Yet Guild Wars coming in with an incredible and smooth (£22) expansion release. And even better is there’s no monthly sub.
