I’ve interacted with some LGBTQ+ people online who say they support far-right parties because they believe that they’ll defend them against ethnic minorities and immigrants.

I asked these people “What would this mean for me as a black LGBTQ+ person?” and then suddenly their racism stops being about “I just want to protect the queers.”
