    My favorite example of how to lie with statistics:

    “Of the 117 billion people who have ever lived, 8 billion of them are still alive. Therefore, the chance of dying is not 100% but rather only 93%.”

    I think this is a really well done graphic. Details like the colour of the title corresponding to the colours of the data points… I like that. This is what I come to this community for. Thank you!

      It’s actually not a terrible assumption. If someone was going to live to 1000 years old, they are probably already alive today.

      It’s possibly more likely we will destroy ourselves in that time frame though… So 50-50, you’re either immortal or you aren’t.

        I think if we ever unlock immortality, we better unlock light speed travel and colonize other planets before that. The planet is already taking a beating with mortal humans.
