this was on purpose. the World Central Kitchen notified the IDF about their movement, and their vehicles were clearly marked. there is no way this was an accident. the IDF purposely killed aid workers delivering food to Gaza. if this isn’t an indicator of their genocidal intentions, i don’t know what is

I want neither of the two main options. Period. And my vote will reflect that. And if this country were sane, everyone’s vote should reflect that.

By the way, this is NOT the way you get votes for biden. Responding to unhappy voters with “BUT TRUMP” just makes us want to stay home. Get your candidate to earn my vote if trump scares you so badly. Because the democrats will just run someone MORE abhorrent four years from now.

I plan to flee the country if trump wins and have the means to do it. So if you’re so concerned, get the Democrats to shame their candidate into arguing for a ceasefire.

that’s all well and good, but one of the two will get in office no matter what. might as well suck it up and vote for the lesser evil.

besides, you said yourself which one you’d prefer. you’d flee the country if Trump got into office, and you acknowledge that the Democrats can be shamed into doing the right thing (unlike the Republicans). if it makes the choice more palatable, think of it not as a vote for someone but a vote against someone. not voting at all is complicity.

I’m voting green in reality because i actually agree with their policies. They give me something to vote FOR, not a boogyman to vote against. Things will never get better with scare tactic voting and it’s high time you woke up and learned that.

Maybe 4 more years of Trump will wake you up but i doubt it. You’d vote for fucking Larry Hogan or Chris Christy if they had a D after their names.

    Israel claims it was unintentional.

This is the fourth clearly marked and coordinated aid convoy that I can recall getting hit just from news stories.

The only thing unintentional about this was killing passport holders from western countries. This is a clear pattern of targeting aid convoys.

    • @jonne

I bet that was intentional as well. Their strategy is to starve Gaza, and after these killings all international aid agencies are pulling out. No food will be going in. It’s the same with their targeting of reporters and their families: they don’t want information to come out either.

Israel is way worse than Putin: all it takes is looking at the numbers of civilian deaths in merelly the first month of the Israelli attack on Gaza compared to the whole of the Invasion of Ukraine.

Not excusing Putin by the way, just pointing out how much more extreme Israel is in the Fascist scales.

You get the impression that Putin has no care at all about human life, but he is not driven by extreme racism, whilst Israel most definitelly is driven by extreme racism and hence they’re activelly trying to exterminate an entire etnic group whom they call “human animals” which is why we keep on seeing from them all varieties of barbarous acts, not just bombings with massive “building” (500lb) and “residential block” (2000lb) wipping bombs and targetting humanitarian vehicles like this but even the use white posphurous against civilians and snipping of childrem.

Next to them Putin is merely a Fascist whilst Israel are full-on Nazis.

His right-hand man is Aleksandr Dugin

Bullshit. Dugin is a Western chauvinist fascist who is ideologically aligned with the Ukrainian coup government and the Ukrainian Nazis who terrorized the Donbas for almost a decade before Russia intervened two years ago. In what universe is he Putin’s “right-hand man”?

The US would absolutely love to have a regime change that put Dugin in power, because he would invite the American shock therapists back in to finish the plundering that they started in the ’90s under Yeltsin, and that Putin put an end to.

I don’t think even that’s true. I think any potential consequences this story making the news could possibly incite have already been set in motion from what’s already been in the news the past few months. They won’t take any additional hit from one more thing added to the pile, but this being in the news will make activists think twice about risking their lives to provide aid.

Are they even apologetic? They’re just doing the classic cop thing of ‘investigating’ this incident for the next 2 years until we all forgot about this because they went on to do even worse shit.

Look at how they slow walked the admission that they (probably purposefully) murdered Shireen Abu Akleh (Also an American citizen BTW) by first accusing Palestinians, then settling on the wild story of multiple stray bullets hitting her in the back behind cover.

No consequences for that, and they’ve just kept escalating more and more since.

Bellingcat is funded by the NED (National Endowment for Democracy) so a CIA front admitting to the assassination is interesting.

Conflating Bellingcat with the CIA is a hilariously bad take.

“Last year marked the final year of project funding from the National Endowment for Democracy (NED) that provided funding for Russian-language workshops at no cost to journalists and human rights researchers based in Russia, Ukraine, Central Asia and the Caucasus. We continued our project for the Swedish Postcode Lottery (SPL), which among others supported free trainings on ideological extremism for organisations in Europe.”

You seem to be misinformed. Also, provide proof that the NED is CIA, because that is quite a claim!

That is however a claim promulgated by the propaganda arm of the Chinese Communist State:

The United States has long used democracy as a tool and a weapon to undermine democracy in the name of democracy, to incite division and confrontation, and to meddle in other countries’ internal affairs, causing catastrophic consequences.

According to Allen Weinstein, the founder of the NED, “A lot of what we do today was done covertly 25 years ago by the CIA”.

The NED is not the CIA (and the degree of inter-agency cooperation is likely not much greater than that between the CIA and NSA), but it serves the same purpose as an arm of the US intelligence apparatus. This is indisputable, as admitted directly by the founder of the NED.

IIRC with the pending fall of the Soviet Union (the primary counterweight to US influence) the US no longer saw a need for covertly influencing governments.

    You think?

It was a small enough projectile that hit right directly on one small truck with enough destructive power to kill the occupants but not so much that it would completely blow up the entire vehicle.

Whaaaat? You’re telling me that the IDF, the only ones in the region with airstrike capabilities are responsible for the three separate and highly coordinated attacks on clearly marked food aid vehicles for starving Palestinians? Surely it was Hamas, the group that would only serve to benefit from these vehicles making their way into Gaza to feed their starving people as well as themselves.

I think a lot of people just think they will steal Palestine and then be satisfied, forgetting that greed, arrogance, and lebensraum know no bounds. Why would Israel want tons of fighter jets? It’s not to wipe out a million starving Palestinians in Gaza, you don’t need jets for that. And this should come as no surprise, since David Ben-Gurion said that the success of the 1948 U.N. partition plan of Palestine was part of a larger plan:

Zionist leaders, in particular David Ben-Gurion, viewed the acceptance of the plan as a tactical step and a stepping stone to future territorial expansion over all of Palestine.

and the early terrorist groups that established Israel and the IDF also expressly stated expansion was their aim:

Irgun emblem. The map shows both Mandatory Palestine and the Emirate of Transjordan, which the Irgun claimed in its entirety for a future Jewish state. The acronym “Etzel” is written above the map, and “raq kach” (“only thus”) is written below.

Fun fact about the 1948 U.N. partition plan:

The Arab Higher Committee, the Arab League and other Arab leaders and governments rejected it on the basis that in addition to the Arabs forming a two-thirds majority, they owned a majority of the lands.[20][21] They also indicated an unwillingness to accept any form of territorial division,[22] arguing that it violated the principles of national self-determination in the UN Charter which granted people the right to decide their own destiny.

And Israel bribed, threatened, and offered loans (given by the U.S.) to countries to vote in favor of the partition plan, so anyone who supports Israel on the basis of justice or fairness really doesn’t have a leg to stand on.

In that link, the section Reports of pressure against the Plan shows just how anti-semitic Zionism is.
