We could give him an extra sharp shovel, as an age/disability accommodation! 😇

He’s on trial in the US. I know I shouldn’t be surprised at any of this but for the love of fuck…

Under his plea agreement, prosecutors agreed not to oppose a sentence lower than the range suggested under federal sentencing guidelines of 18 to 24 months in prison.

And he wants the judge to send him to a country club prison.

His lawyers offered another reason to keep him out of prison: As a foreign national, Lewis would not be eligible to serve time in a prison camp with a dormitory setting, but instead would be sent to a higher-security facility with “a more dangerous inmate population.”

In a fair and just universe when rich guys get found guilty and they start whining - the judge should speak (or sing) the lyrics to the theme of the tv show Baretta to them.

it’s not cheating when the system actively encourages and rewards this behavior by design, which is why it has to go. You’re not going to “deter” an 87 year old ghoul on his death bed with a slap on the wrist. he already won.

Sincerely doubt insider trading is the only crime in his past. Made his big money on ‘property’ in 70s London followed by currency exchange in the 80s. Thats basically the trajectory of every London crook big enough to get in bed with the US mafia and CIA cutouts during that era. It might have been about the East End, but the Long Good Friday etc etc.

Straight to retirement home where the workers are underpaid, so they can charge him and his visitors for breathing.
