      Depends on the government

      Many nonprofits (amnesty, hrw, etc) and news outlets (zateo, drop site, etc) are credible sources

        I think what you mean to say is, that you would like to see this claim verified by a professional journalist you trust.

        I would like to see that too, However you can not expect a fully researched article to be written the same day as evidence is released.

        You should not discredit that evidence just because it is not yet to be verified yet

          Was this photo submitted to a credible journalist?

          Journalists absolutely write articles within a few days of an event happening. It’s no longer news if it takes them too long.

          My point is that we should share evidence with journalists, then we should link only to credible sources after they’ve done their jobs to verify the story and put it in context

            Within a few days is not the same as within a few hours.

            People uploading different images of the same event the day of, should be treated as possible evidence for a “trusted” journalist to establish the credibility of.
