The ad and the linked terms don’t say anything about the deal being available only for new customers and accounts. It’s the lack of transparency that really gets me.

    That’s a US company thing. Maybe in other countries, too. But definitely a US company thing.

          Even Comcast will allow you to sign up as a new customer with whatever deal they are running if your previous account is closed. That’s saying a lot because they’re an absolute dogshit company.

            Only if you’re closed for 30+ days. And then you have to accept increases every year.

              I have never not been able to call them and threaten to cancel if they didn’t lower my rate though. That’s the crazy thing. I don’t have them anymore (thank God) but I had Comcast for close to 15 years and did this repeatedly.

                They’ll lower if you threaten, but not usually to new customer price. And spectrum and twc do the same shit. They all need to be disbanded.
