I agree. But the lack of compromise is what got us in this situation in the first place. Democracy is about compromise, because if you don’t need to compromise one of both extremes takes over there country and that does not end good for either side really. Look at the us while the “other side” wins. Can you see all the winning they are doing? Not pleasant for anyone, is it?
Exactly. Ask the populous, they decide. Nobody is above democracy or the law. Nobody gets to murder the Muslims or Jews. Nobody gets to murder trans people etc. Because everybody agrees murdering humans is bad.

You should watch the news sometime because your understanding of what people believe is wildly misaligned with reality.
I’m not American. I watch the actual news. Not action news at 5. ;) we still live in an actual democracy. Maybe adjust your world view a little.
