Sushi Miyagi in Panama made this roll containing fried surimi crab, green onions and avocado topped with spicy tuna tartare.

I’ve been wanting to try this roll for weeks but I usually don’t like fried components in my sushi.

At Miyagi, fried ingredients are lightly breadcrumb crusted rather than tempura batter-fried, so there’s very little oil and much more crunch.

Friggiinnn delicious.

What’s the weather like in Panama around September? I need someplace to relax for a month or so.

It’ll still be the rainy season, so a great time to visit in my opinion.

Overcast skies but warm, comfortable to walk around, 2 out of 3 days you’ll have some rain, but it’s often very regimented, funny enough.

Morning will be warm, humid, overcast before noon, 2-5pm will have light to heavy showers, and then it’s cooler in the evenings, showers overnight.

You’re still in the tropics so it’s never cold, but July and especially August have been very comfortable for me, and the rain comes and goes.

The city is a very comfortable urban environment too; rush hour can be busy 5-7pm, but all the people are laid back, polite, and sidewalks never get too crowded.
