    Yes. That’s what it appears to be to me. Many people like to use the product under the nose but it says on the label not to do this and there is a reason why it’s considered detrimental to one’s health.

      as someone who’s only vaguely aware of the product, that’s wild. What is it actually supposed to be used for? I thought the entire point was a strong smell to clear your sinuses.

        It’s intended to be spread on the chest and neck and act as a cough suppressant, and also have a soothing smell.

        Presumably smelling it is fine at a bit more of a distance. The issue is the same as if you were to put Vaseline near your nostrils. Particles of the petroleum jelly base can get inhaled into the lungs if it’s too close.
